About me
Ronda Smith serves as the K–12 Social Studies Specialist for the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education. She supports educators through standards-based instruction, disciplinary practices, instructional resources, and professional learning. Ronda collaborates with community organizations, museums, and other partners to connect educators with resources and experiences that strengthen social studies instruction. She also coordinates programs such as the Gilder Lehrman History Teacher of the Year Award, the United States Presidential Scholars Program, and the United States Senate Youth Program.
