This session will offer a review of the law governing Arkansas Public Schools release of information as well as the law governing the meeting of a public governing body such as a school board. These subjects are primally governed by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

This session will provide an overview of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as well as federal compliance deadlines (April 2026/2027). Explore how these requirements impact district implementation of social media, website design, vendor agreements, and document sharing. The session will conclude with a demonstration of free evaluation tools and resources designed to help monitor compliance and document progress.
