Teaching (and Learning) Concurrently: Pathways for Educators and Acceleration for Students
Wednesday July 15, 2026 2:20pm - 3:20pm CDT
Concurrent enrollment is no longer just an "extra" in Arkansas; it is a critical pillar of the state’s acceleration and workforce strategy. As these opportunities expand, school and district leaders must navigate the intersection of secondary and postsecondary standards. This session provides an overview of how state agencies, institutions of higher education, and schools can build local capacity by qualifying high school educators to teach college-level courses. Participants will receive an overview of the credentialing requirements, coursework expectations, and the approval process required for instructors to participate in training opportunities and support structures that help educators obtain the necessary qualifications.

We will also dive into the Arkansas Department of Education rules and policy highlights, ensuring your district stays compliant and at the forefront of concurrent trends.
