About me
Ray Girdler serves as an IT Infrastructure Architect within the Arkansas State Cybersecurity Office. Prior to this role, he spent several years at the Arkansas Department of Education before transitioning to the Arkansas Office of State Technology. During his time at the Department of Education, Ray helped establish Arkansas’s K–12 Cyber Incident Response Team, advanced statewide cybersecurity awareness initiatives, and served as the K–12 Privacy Director.
In his current position, Ray continues to strengthen cybersecurity capacity across the executive branch with a focus on workforce development and statewide cybersecurity policy. His work includes leading training initiatives, supporting the upskilling of public‑sector cybersecurity professionals, and contributing to the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies that enhance Arkansas’s overall security posture.
