About me
Cheria McDonald has been a nurse for 31 years graduating from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas and recently from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro with her MSN with an education focus. For the last 17 years she has been in the education setting. She was a school nurse at Springdale School District and Valley Springs School District and then a Community Health Nurse Specialist for the Arkansas Department of Health at the O.U.R. Education Cooperative in Harrison, Arkansas. She currently is the State School Nurse Consultant with the Arkansas Department of Education, National Board Certified School Nurse, and providing technical support to nurses, teachers, students, and parents in health related issues. She serves on the Coordinated School Health Team and the School-Based Health Center Team with both education and health state agencies. She has collaborated with state and national programs to assist schools with high quality education in health issues such as emergency and chronic condition management.
