About me
Lisa Mundy oversees the Coordinated School Health program for the Arkansas Department of Education, a role she has held since January 2018. She views her position much like an old-fashioned telephone operator—expertly connecting schools and organizations to improve student and staff wellness. Before transitioning to state-level leadership, Ms. Mundy built a distinguished career in public education. She piloted the elementary physical education program for the Benton School District in January 1997 and later concluded her teaching tenure at Hurricane Creek Elementary within the Bryant School District. A testament to her dedication, Ms. Mundy was named the 2015 Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the Arkansas Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE-AR).
