About me
Kary Duffy is finishing her third year in midlevel leadership and her 32nd year in education. Most of her 32 years have been in school counseling. During her time as a counselor, Kary served students in grades 5-12 and introduced a trauma informed approach to the Yellville-Summit School District. In 2022, when Kary was given the opportunity to leave school counseling and step into an administrative role, she embraced the challenge of opening a new middle school building with an eager staff. She now proudly refers to her rockstar staff as Intentional Difference Makers. Because of her counseling background, she came into the leadership role knowing that building relationships must be the top priority in order to reach today's students. Kary is committed to inspiring students, supporting teachers, and establishing strong connections with the school community.
